16 hours

Moderate

Luxor in a day, privately: your own vehicle and Egyptologist, any day of the week.

Luxor holds roughly a third of the world's surviving antiquities, and it is close enough to the Red Sea to see in a day if you start early.

The itinerary covers Karnak - the largest religious building ever constructed - then crosses to the west bank for the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.

Standard entrance fees, lunch and an Egyptologist guide are included. The drive is four to five hours in each direction.

This is the private version of the tour: your own vehicle, your own Egyptologist, and an itinerary that moves at your group's pace rather than the coach's.

Because the vehicle is yours, this version runs every day rather than on fixed group departure days.
