Two days in Luxor with a night on the Nile - and the option of watching sunrise over the Valley of the Kings from a hot air balloon.

One day in Luxor is a forced march. Two days lets you see the east bank and the west bank properly, and sleep beside the Nile in between.

The itinerary covers Karnak and Luxor temples, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and the Colossi, with a night in a Nile-side hotel.

The optional sunrise balloon flight on day two is the single most photographed hour in Egypt, and worth the early alarm.

Balloon flights operate at sunrise and are weather dependent. If a flight is cancelled for weather, the balloon portion is refunded.
